Introducing Human Growth Project Research
A new home for what we study, what we publish and how it is reviewed. Here is what you will find on this page, and the standard every post meets.
By Human Growth Project
The Human Growth Project creates educational content and programs under three principles: the humanities, health and high tech. Research is where that work starts. This page is where we will share it as it happens: what we are studying, what we have published, and what changed along the way.
What you will find here
Every post on this page is filed under one of four kinds, so you can follow only what you need:
- Publications: research summaries, primers and reports, the same reviewed material that feeds the library.
- Studies: work in progress, with what we are asking, how we are approaching it, and its limits.
- Milestones: moments worth marking, such as a course, program or partnership reaching a point that matters.
- Updates: shorter notes on what the team is working on and where you can take part.
How every post is reviewed
Research posts follow the same standard as everything else we publish. Each piece has an author, a scientific or clinical reviewer where the topic calls for one, and an editor, and reviewers are named on the article.
Time-sensitive work shows when it was last reviewed and when it is next due. Material updates are logged, and corrections are published rather than quietly edited.
Evidence over enthusiasm: no unsourced statistics and no longevity promises. Every number links to its source and states its limits.
Education, not medical advice
Everything we publish is educational. It is written to help you understand the evidence and ask better questions, not to diagnose, treat or replace the judgment of a clinician. Health posts separate what the research shows from what you might do about it.
How to take part
Research at HGP is open to collaboration. Clinicians and researchers can join the review pool, contribute summaries or propose studies, and organizations can partner on programs. Read about the ways in on Take part, or write to us at hello@hgp.org.
New posts will appear here as the work moves. Thank you for reading the first one.
